Steve Warnaar became director in
the fall of 2009.
Music has always been a large part of Steve's life. He has
been involved in choirs and bands as a trumpeter since his earliest
years. He was also involved in Michigan State University's
bands as a student. Steve started with Barbershop about 7 years ago. His musical experience helped him to progress very rapidly. The quartet "Something Big!" was Pioneer District champs in 2008 with Steve singing baritone. Steve has also competed on the international stage with the "Mountaintown Singers" chorus. At the 2010 International Convention Steve sang baritone with "Resisting-A-Rest" which won the gold medal in the Senior International quartet competition. His newest quartet is called "The Blendy Boys". |

Steve's experience with barbershop has also focused on increasing involvement for singers at all different levels of ability. He sees it as one of the best hobbies you can get involved in. |
